I had to pick up a gift at the toy store for a kid’s birthday party. A bunch of kids and their parents were hanging out after school in front of the store and I stopped to gab with a few of the parents. There was a mid size dog tied to a pole in front of the toy store and a dad who was chatting with us became concerned about the dog; he thought his choke collar looked a little too tight, so he tried to loosen it. The dog bit him. The kids were freaked out and the dad was bleeding. The owner of the dog came out and couldn’t believe what was happening. The dad explained that he thought the dog’s collar didn’t fit right, but the dog’s owner wasn’t happy and said that her dog bit him because he felt threatened and never would’ve attacked if he wasn’t messed with. It was a big scene and I got out of there as fast as I could.
What do you think? Did that dad do the right thing by trying to loosen the dog’s collar?
