Can you believe this?
So yesterday I was driving my kids to school and had to make a right onto the main road and there was a ton of traffic and a parked bus blocking my view of oncoming traffic. I pulled out a bit to get a better view. A mom I know was driving her kids to a different school that morning and she didn’t like my move, she thought I was too far into the street I guess. She waved her hands in anger and started swearing. Then she realized it was me and smiled. I smiled back. Her kids were in the car with her.
I’ve had several play dates with this mom. She’s always been just fine, although she got upset at the diner once because they put American cheese on her kid’s sandwich instead of Cheddar, but that’s another story I guess.
Yesterday afternoon she texted me “You know what they say about women drivers…”
What the hell does that mean?
Then she suggested we have a play date next week. “Something within walking distance. Ha!”

With every post, I’m amazed at how remarkable you are at finding these characters and describing them? You make life, even annoying people, seem funny. At least from my perspective. I don’t have to deal with her. Oh, and in answer to your question, if your kids like each other, I’d go on the play date. If the kids are ambivalent, I might forget it. She does sound a bit like canned heat.
